Kelly is an ultra-marathoner, rock climber, and high-altitude mountaineer. After a successful 13-year career in the Financial Services Industry working in trading, Kelly moved on to pursue the adventurous life of high-altitude mountaineering. He is a graduate of the International Wilderness Leadership School (IWLS) Leadership & Guide training program, National Outdoor Leadership School Wilderness Medicine Institute (NOLS WMI) Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT) program, American Mountain Guides Association Single Pitch Instructor (AMGA SPI) and American Red Cross BLS for Health Care Provider. Kelly is also a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute (PMI PMP) - after all, organizing successful climbing expeditions is the best type of project.

Kelly is climbing in Central Asia for the 2018 - 2019 season and in Sichuan (West China) searching for new lines and first ascents.

Kelly is also the founder of ClimbCo Group, located in Southern China, a leading manufacturer of climbing gym equipment for brands like Lacuna Climbing.
